Curriculum

fOR FAMILIES

In the Nursery Pod at Creative Hands ELC, our curriculum emphasizes building strong, nurturing relationships with each child while respecting their unique routines and responding to their cues and gestures.

Our educators introduce children to a variety of sensory experiences that promote exploration and early learning. The room is thoughtfully designed with low, accessible furniture and resources that support the developmental needs of young babies.

Our outdoor playground is similarly designed to be low and accessible, providing safe spaces that encourage the development of gross motor skills through crawling, climbing, and exploring.

The room also features a kitchenette stocked with fresh fruits and yogurt, ensuring we can cater to the individual needs of our babies throughout the day.

We work closely with families during the weaning process, collaborating to introduce solid foods in a supportive and thoughtful manner. As a breastfeeding-friendly service, we provide a designated nursing area for new mothers, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for families.

our toddler’s curriculum 1-2 years old

In the Young Toddlers room at Creative Hands ELC, our curriculum is designed to support the developmental milestones of children aged 1 to 2 years. During this stage, we focus on fostering independence, communication, and social skills through play-based learning experiences. Our educators carefully observe and respond to toddlers’ emerging interests, tailoring activities to nurture their curiosity and sense of discovery. The room layout and outdoor spaces are thoughtfully designed to encourage exploration, with low and accessible furniture, resources, and equipment that support developing gross motor skills such as walking, climbing, and balancing. Sensory play is a key aspect of our curriculum, providing opportunities for toddlers to engage with different textures, sounds, and materials to stimulate their growing senses. Mealtime routines are a collaborative effort with families, as we continue to support dietary transitions and self-feeding skills. Our educators build strong relationships with toddlers and their families, ensuring a caring and consistent environment that meets the individual needs of each child.

our toddler’s curriculum 2-3 years old

At Creative Hands ELC, the curriculum for children aged 2 to 3 years focuses on fostering curiosity, independence, and the development of social and emotional skills. Our educators support children as they begin to express themselves more confidently, encouraging communication through storytelling, group discussions, and creative expression. The learning environment is designed to promote exploration and discovery, with open-ended resources and age-appropriate activities that nurture problem-solving, creativity, and early numeracy and literacy skills. The outdoor playground provides opportunities for climbing, running, and balancing, supporting the development of gross motor skills while fostering collaborative play. We also emphasize self-help skills, such as dressing, toileting, and tidying up, to build confidence and independence. By working closely with families, we ensure a seamless transition between home and care routines, creating a supportive and engaging environment where children thrive during this exciting stage of development
